Barren 

Deep brown sky glows with black umbrellas

That grow floating down

And flowing

To the barren blueberry land

And float and land

And spill into small puddles

That show a new inch of me

As I pool over them

And I look up

The red dawns beyond the black hills

And hug the sky beyond

That’s all I used to see
